New Citizens’ Gateway believes that integration into a new country begins with connecting with the local community. To that end, we offer a variety of adult activities to help combat social isolation, promote mental and physical wellbeing and foster a sense of belonging in refugees and asylum seekers.

The Jasmine Women's Group

Our Jasmine Women's Group has been providing a safe and supportive space for asylum seeking and refugee women for nearly two decades. These weekly sessions are held at the Mill Hill Library in Mill Hill and offer a wide range of activities.

NCG Men's Group

Our Men's Group, co-designed with feedback from our clients, began in 2026, providing a safe and supportive space for asylum seeking and refugee men. These monthly sessions are held at the Finchley Progressive Synagogue and offer a wide range of activities.

Allotment Project

Launched in 2015, our Ecotherapy Programme provides asylum seekers and refugees with a unique opportunity to reconnect with nature and improve their overall wellbeing. During April - October, sessions take place 2-3 times a week at our Colindale allotment between 5-9pm.
