Youth Activities
Supporting Our Future
Young people matter today and are our future, so our youth work activities are a vital and successful part of our organisation. We provide a variety of activities for refugees and asylum seekers aged 11–21.
Young refugees and asylum seekers, particularly unaccompanied minors, may have experienced poverty, disadvantage, and abuse in their home countries. Upon arriving in the UK, they may face further challenges including linguistic and cultural barriers, social isolation, and ongoing deprivation.
The Youth Well-being Project supports refugee and asylum-seeking young people, with an emphasis on those who may have experienced trauma, abuse, and neglect.
The aim of this project is to improve young people’s overall health and wellbeing by providing opportunities for support, socialisation, confidence building and integration into the local community. Our youth activities help young people develop their voice, build confidence, and reach their full potential.
